The Masters of Evil - team-scroll!

Yes indeed! This little piece made a little bit of a splash, some months ago. During this time, Marvel was doing a very effective and interesting bit of PR with a release of a mysterious team-chart, made by the new writer, Jonathan Hickman, representing all of the new characters to join the next Avengers -team.

I thought that chart was a really neat idea, with a lot of potential. So, I made my own fan-art chart, representing who I figured would be on a similar, but inverted team - THE MASTERS OF EVIL!!

For those that may not know - the Masters of Evil is a team of villains that often opposes the heroes in the Avengers, by banding together themselves, in order to take out the Avengers.

I created my chart and released it online, and apparently it was so well-made that for a while some thought it was the real deal! A slight bit of buzz was even in the works, about whether or not Marvel was planning on coming out with a new team of Masters of Evil, to be featured in Hickman's Avengers -books.

Good fun! But unintentional on my part, so I quickly corrected some that asked me, whether this was a real chart or not. Just a bit of fan-art, in appreciation of Jonathan Hickman's rich imagination.

The general idea of the chart, is that it's an inversion of the Avengers-chart, in every way possible. As the Avengers-chart is bright and modern, this chart is instead dark and grimy, invoking some kind of dimly lit mystic scroll, lying about in some old castle of one of the bad-guys.

The members of my vision of the Masters of Evil, are as follows:

Red Skull - His sign is the 3-toothed skull, taken from Alex Ross RS-logo from Earth X.
Morgana Le Fay - The witch of Arthurian myth. Her sign is the celtic Triquetra - symbol of the 3-faced goddess.
Leader - the Hulks super-intelligent arch-nemesis. His sign is simply an L.
Mandarin - chinese mandarin-square with Mongolian #1 in the middle, to represent the two main sources of his inspiration.
Dracula - vampire-bat-logo, retrieved from the cover-design of the Tomb of Dracula.
Mr Sinister - X-men villain, the ultimate foe of Cyclops, their leader. His symbol is a diamond, from his fore-head.

Lady Bullseye - Bullseye/fem-symbol combined.
Crossbones -Often hench-man of Red Skull, wears skull and bones.
Malekith the Accursed - Lord of the Dark Elves. The villain in Thor 2 - the Dark World.
Midnight Sun - the adopted brother of Shang-Chi, the masters of Kung Fu. The symbol is the chinese trigram for water.

Sabretooth -Wolverine's feral arch-enemy. His symbol is a set of Sabre-teeth.
Green Goblin -Pumpkin-bomb
Carnage - Mass-murderer bonded with an alien symbiote. Symbol is his tarnished eye-lenses.
Absorbing-Man - Enemy of Thor with the power of everything and anything he touches. His symbol is his trademark ball & chain.

The Coyote - new teleporting enemy of Daredevil. His symbol is a sliced'n'curved diamond, which usually adorns his eyes.

Strontian - Aka Xenith, an alien terrorist possessing an array of super-powers, similar to those of DC's Supergirl. Her symbol is a curve with a peak at the zenith of the curvature.

Bete Noir - Cosmic X-men villain, possessing abilities similar to the Phoenix, but more(!) malevolent.

Super-Adaptette - A Super-adaptoid ( androids that can copy all super-powers) with a female body-frame. Her symbol is the scientific symbol of Delta - which stands for change.
